Everything you do on the range and other practice areas is geared to attaining one goal – the confidence to play regularly on the golf course. As described in the main page of the introductory email to initiate your Feet on the Fairway membership you are requested to arrange an on course orientation with your PGA Coach – Gareth, as soon as possible by emailing gareth@hagleygolfcoach.co.uk
Your orientation session will include a buggy tour of the first 9 holes of the golf course, often referred to as ‘the front 9’. Feet on the Fairway membership only permits you to play these 9 holes at these times:
After 10.00 Monday to Friday
After 13.00 at weekends
You will see a link with ‘Who’s who… ‘ which has contacts for other women golfers here at Hagley GC who have volunteered to play the course with you. Many of these women also began their golf as Feet on the Fairway GC members and are really happy to invite you to join them on the course.
Depending upon your level of experience and how comfortable you are feeling we recommend you build up the number of holes you play over a few games so you gain more and more confidence every time you are on the course. Fortunately the front 9 holes here at Hagley GC has some ideal ‘loops’ of 3 or more holes that are perfect for this way of building your game up on the course. As you start to play the full 9 holes you will be able to enter your scores and gain an official golf handicap. This is a really good way to measure your own progress and also to gain the opportunity to play in competitions both here at Hagley GC and at other golf clubs too.
All of this will become much clearer when you come to your orientation session so please contact gareth@hagleygolfcoach.co.uk to book this as soon as you can get the best from your Feet on the Fairway GC membership.
