8th Path Progressing
The greens staff are persevering with installing pathways to keep the course as accessible as possible throughout the increasingly wet winter months. As pictured below the long stretch on the left of 8th hole is near completion and will be usable as a track with the hardcore base alone from the middle of next week. We would encourage you to use the paths with your trollies where possible when conditions are very wet. Or even to carry your clubs if you can. Many GC members choose to take a half set out through the winter months to reduce weight and make it easier to get round whilst some areas are roped off.
Once the 8th is completed areas that require paths on the back 9 will be identified. Unlike the front 9 paths will not be laid adjacent to the entire length of fairways. Instead, paths will be kept to a minimum on the back 9 and focused upon areas that need to be worked on to ensure the safest possible access. Updates on this work will be shared as it progresses over the next few weeks and months.
