Autumn & Winter Course Update
Following the latest Greens Committee meeting, this update focuses on course preparations and conditions for the upcoming autumn and winter seasons.
We implement several adaptations each year to keep the course playable for as long as possible, while prioritising safety and the preservation of the course for the 2027 season. Here are key details and reminders to help us achieve this:
1. Winter Tees: As of November 2nd, tees will move to the main winter mats. As long as ground conditions allow, the course will remain qualifying using the black tee scorecards.

2. Trolleys: From November 2nd, winter wheels will be mandatory on electric trolleys (using them in the meantime is strongly preferred). Please keep trolleys on the paths as much as possible.
3. Carrying Bags: If you are able to carry your bag, please do. Many members simplify this by using a lightweight pencil bag with fewer clubs. The Pro Shop team is happy to advise you on options.
4. Roped-off Areas: Carrying your bag also minimises disruption from the roped-off sections on approaches and key playing areas, which are protected from trolley traffic during wetter months.

5. Footwear: Please ensure your golf shoes are suitable for wet ground conditions. Proper grip is essential for your stability and safety on wet slopes.
6. Buggies & Vehicles: Buggies and personal vehicles will be required to follow the 90-degree rule more frequently, as determined by daily course assessments.

7. Fairway Mats: The Greens Committee recommends using fairway mats throughout autumn and winter. If you need a “Spurk” mat, they are available for purchase in the Pro Shop.
8. Course Status Updates: Please ensure you have Course Status alerts set up on the HowDidiDo or Club V1 app. The greenkeeping team will conduct frequent course inspections and will aim to post initial updates by 8:30am at the latest, or a day in advance when weather warnings may affect the course.
With stormy conditions forecast for this weekend, please check the Course Status update before heading out.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in protecting the course this autumn/winter.
