Club Championships 2023
Obviously, you may have noticed, we had a slight issue with the weather over the weekend and therefore had to postpone the Club Championships, which isn’t great!
Given how a couple of the greens had already started showing standing water at around 6am, combined with the forecast of persistent rain for the rest of the day, I hope you will agree that the correct decision was made. After some brief conversations, we decided that, to protect the integrity of our flagship competition, the entire comp should be moved to enable us to play it over one weekend, rather than split the rounds.
The Club Championships will now be contested over the weekend of September 16th and 17th. This date has been chosen to allow as much time as possible for people to plan.
To try to make things easier, I’m keeping the same tee sheet and simply porting over the draw as it stands. I understand that some will now not be able to play on this weekend and, conversely, some will now want to join in the comp.
The draw is still available through the documents tab on ClubV1. For any changes, please contact me directly on mattgreaves@sky.com Obviously refunds will be made in full to those who now can’t make the competition.

In other news, I’ve been back to my old tricks and inadvertently set up the midweek stableford last Thursday as a medal (I know!) This was sorted immediately after the event. Apologies to all for any confusion on the day.
Texas Scramble OPEN – 12th August 2023
Finally, we’re nearing our first Texas Scramble Open on 12th August. We’ve already had a fair few forms in for the event so, if you’ve got any golfing mates that fancy a good day on the course, please give them a bell so we can support this day as much as possible. Come on, everyone loves a scramble! Forms available through the website.
