Course update

After a week of extreme weather the course has shown excellent resilience and should be in good order for play this weekend.

One area that has been severely affect is the water hazard on the 2nd hole. As pictured below please take note of the roping and stay well clear of the area. If a ball finishes in the ropes please take a free drop and DO NOT TRY to retrieve the ball.

Clearly the recent weather has delayed progress on the bunker renovations underway on the 2nd and 3rd holes. Work will resume on these as soon as possible with the base of the 2nd bunker being prepared for fresh sand and the reshaping of the 3rd bunker continuing also. We will update you on this work in the next course update.

As we enter December the winter tee mats will be back in play soon. As many of these have been redeveloped over the last year or so we hope they are much better to play from as a result. Part of the course development plan for 2025 is to ensure the tee mats are all to a similar standard for next winter.

Finally, as the green keeping team carry out their work around the course it is great that so many GC members want to share their enthusiasm and enquire abut the work being done. However, it will be really appreciated if the team can be allowed to carry on for the majority of their day uninterrupted so they are able to make progress and get even more great work done so we can all enjoy the course more.

Thank you
