Course Update
The greens team have been hard at work focused on course maintenance in preparation for another busy week with the Seniors Open and Summer Texas Scramble in quick succession. The excellent weather has helped and the course is coping very well with the relatively low rainfall so far this season. The main playing areas of the course are in good condition and will hopefully be enjoyed by GC members and all those playing in the Opens in the coming days.

Looking ahead to autumn and winter the Greens Committee have been planning to ensure the course is as playable as possible for everyone in the post season. As we experienced last autumn and winter the paths on some of the back 9 were not sufficient to provide safe access for some golfers in very wet conditions. To improve this the Greens Committee has now agreed the position of extended paths on holes 10-13 joining 17th. Work on this is the priority for the autumn work program of the greens team and will require materials to be placed into position in the next few weeks. The paths will be laid as liner and hardcore in the first phase and this work will begin at the far end of the course, holes 11, 12 and 13. This might mean some slight disruption and materials being positioned in line of sight for a short time before the paths are laid. We thank you in advance for your patience as the work is carried out. Further updates will be provided when the work starts.

Have a great week on the course and enjoy the sunshine.
