Course Update

Since the last course update we have had approximately 100mm of rain, including over 40mm in 24 hrs thanks to Storm Claudia. This tested the recent drainage works around the course and it is fair to say we have had very positive feedback on the resilience it has shown.  The primary drainage works on 1st, 2nd 4th, 9th, 15th and 18th over the past couple of years have successfully combined with this season’s secondary drainage mole ploughing  We hope the course continues to hold up through the winter and remains open for play as often as possible.

One of the effect of the recent rain was to highlight an area on the 15 hole buggy route that required additional coverage to make it safe. This area was a stretch on the 11th hole and it has now been laid with hardcore and will soon be covered with astro, The team are now working to cover the paths on slopes with astro to make these safe for the winter and will then cover the remaining areas ahead of the 2026 season. Thank you to those of you using the paths with trollies and following the 90 degree rule with buggies and personal vehicles.

Although they are closed for play the main grass tees are still part of the maintenance program. They will be mown, aerated and over seeded regularly over the next few months. To ensure no play from these areas on par 3’s fences have been placed to protect access around them. Please use the winter mats on ALL tees as this helps the main grass areas be maintained effectively for the the 2026 season. Thank you.
