Course Update: Putting green progress, 3rd/9th tee development and winter mat install

Putting green

Following last weeks update here are pictures of the progress being made. Despite the wet conditions the team have been able to install the root barrier, refill the majority of the trench ready for over seeding and move the base for the shoe cleaner to its new location closer to the first exit from the 9th green to the car park. Work has also begun on a raised bed in the corner where the chipping area used to be. More information on how the chipping and putting will be permitted around the entire short game and putting areas will be shared with you soon.

3rd/9th Tee Development

As per the plan described last week the landscaping around 3rd and 9th tees has been largely completed. These work will be prepared for planting over the next few weeks. The new layout should ensure that the 3rd tee is now accessed via the steps at the front of the tee whilst the 9th is reached by walking around to the rear.

Winter tees

Winter tee mats will be in play on many holes from this weekend, This will be a mix of the mats used over the last few years that greens staff can move from one area of a grass tee to another to prevent wear. Others will be as pictured, these framed areas on the 3rd, 6th, 16th and 17th are the template that more winter tees will be made to match over the next few weeks.

With the forecast set relatively fair this weekend we hope you enjoy your golf.
