Weekly Competitions Newsletter – 24th October 2022


Congratulations to Craig Willetts for taking the R&H Trophy last weekend. Well done also to Stephen Richardson and Thomas Quirk for winning their respective divisions.

Please also allow me to congratulate the winners of our various knockout trophies which have all been concluded. Also well done to those of you that managed to get through to the finals.

I’m glad to see that the new look Winter Alliance competition has got off to a flying start. After implementing the new scoring system, currently the table is a tense 39 way tie with everyone on 0 points. Fingers crossed for the next round!

Senior’s Section

Fred Reeve Trophy played on 17/10/2022. Congratulations to Jon Stevenson for finishing first and winning the Trophy.

Other winners on the day are as follows.
18-Hole Competition:
Division 1. 1st Jon Stevenson 40pts, 2nd Paul Carter 39pts. Division 2. 1st Stephen Inglis 38pts, 2nd David Calcutt 36pts
9-Hole Competition:
Division 1. 1st James Ford 22pts, 2nd Roy Hollyoak 16pts
Senior’s All Team Players Competition played on 21/10/2022
Thank you to all the ‘hardy souls’ who braved the rain and managed to finish their rounds – it wasn’t the best of golfing conditions.
The heavy rain dampened most of the participants spirits but it was an enjoyable walk?
Winners on the day were 1st Steve Jablonski 39pts on c/back    2nd Gary Henderson 39pts.
There is only two Senior’s Competitions left on the calendar for this year namely:
Monday 7th November 18-Hole Christmas Stableford.
Friday 2nd December 9-Hole ‘Festive Hat’
