Seniors’ Captain Foreword
It is a privilege to be the Seniors Captain of Hagley Golf club for 2025.
Obviously my thanks go to last years Captain, Mick Hunter for all his hard work during his tenure and last years committee for their sterling commitment to the Seniors Section.
I have been a Member of Hagley Golf club since 2010 and involved with the Seniors Section from 2015. The Section has in the main, been Pro Active within the Golf club, giving members Options to play golf, socialise on the course, within the club house and other venues.
My aims are quite simple, to continue to provide senior male member with the numerous golfing formats that have been used over the years, adding new ones or bringing back the tried and tested, also to be more inclusive with all club members where possible. After all we are ALL MEMBERS of Hagley Golf CLUB. I will with the help of my vice-Captain, Steve Jablonski, and the committee, endeavour to persuade senior golfers to get involved in the running of the Seniors Section as things don’t just happen, they need to be organised.
Secondly to promote Hagley golf club as the best and friendliest in the area, welcoming to members and visitors alike
The Club Charity for this year is “ Up and Downs” a Local Charity for Families with Downs Syndrome Children. Who have been struggling to meet their cost’s.
Hopefully we can raise a lot of money for this worthy cause.
Finally, may I wish everyone a Happy and healthy golfing year and I look forward to meeting as many of our members old and new as I can.
