Course Update
With nearly the equivalent of the entire September 2023 rainfall pouring on us over 48 hours last weekend the course has recovered remarkably well. The team have been able to continue maintenance tasks such as mowing fairways and greens as well as development work on tees.
As we head into winter golf we will try to provide opportunities to play from grass tee as often as possible. However this may not be possible on some holes so we will instead continue to install good quality winter mats on these instead. Examples of this are the planned re-introduction of the tee to the rear of the 2nd green for play to the 3rd green. As pictured below this has required some tree removal and now this has been completed the tee area will be mown shorter ready for use in the next few weeks. The other images include the new winter mat on the 13th tee. The use of a good quality mat was the only feasible option here in order to preserve the full teeing area for the main season.

Another teeing area that has been improved this week is the 12th. As you can see from the picture gallery the team have worked hard to not only install a new winter tee mat but also improve the landscaping around the whole area. Please be mindful of the roped off area over the next week or so as the ground recovers and beds in ready for use through the winter.

Club v1 Course Status Updates Changing
Finally, as described in the note from the Greens Committee on Tuesday there will be changes to the Course Status updates on the Club V1 app as of 1st November. It is very important all GC members make themselves aware of these so the communication regarding how to play the course is understood each morning. Please go to the page HERE for more information.
